Whistleblower Function

Whistleblower Function

At Culinar, we prioritize conducting our business ethically and fairly. Trust and respect among our employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders are essential to us. It is crucial to prevent activities that could compromise product quality, safety, and stakeholder integrity. We are committed to protecting our brands from misconduct and strive to act in a sustainable, responsible, and value-driven manner. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for corruption, discrimination, abuse, and all forms of criminal activity.

Our whistleblowing function provides all employees and individuals with a working relationship with the company the opportunity to report wrongdoing anonymously. The law protects whistleblowers from employer retaliation and ensures their identities remain confidential.

What Types of Abuses are Covered by the Law?

This function is intended for situations where there is a suspicion of wrongdoing that serves the public interest and requires attention. Examples of such wrongdoing include food safety risks, bribery and corruption, severe harassment or discrimination, safety deficiencies that jeopardize health and lives, and environmental crimes. However, the law does not cover conflicts that pertain solely to the individual’s working or employment conditions, such as disputes between employees or wage issues.

Who Receives the Reports?

Reports are received by designated personnel within the HR department.

How Do I Report Misconduct?

You can report misconduct through our external reporting channel, where you can choose to remain anonymous or provide your  contact information. Reporting can be done online, or you may request a physical meeting or phone call. Alternatively, you can contact your manager, a trade union representative, or HR directly. For more information, please visit our reporting channel: Puls – Create Report.

What Happens After I Report?

Reports that require further investigation are forwarded to the appropriate management function for action. Any information that could reveal the reporter’s identity is treated with the utmost confidentiality. In cases of serious misconduct, particularly concerning individuals in senior positions, an external provider may be engaged to ensure an impartial and thorough investigation.

Supervisory Authority

The Swedish Work Environment Authority oversees compliance with the law’s requirements to ensure the company’s adherence to these standards.
